Does not fit canister

As you can see from the photos, the upper part used to hold the canister does not fit, it is too short. Now to find out if I can get a refund or how to find a way to block the glass in place. It's hard to believe that something so simple can be so confusing. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless they tell us it's been redesigned or quality control improved!
