Looked great for the price but mine is useless. The magnet works, but only at minimum speed. I rotate it and the magnet just flies to one side of the glass and doesn't move. Tried in different liquids of different viscosity and each time it was the same no matter where it was on the plate. Heating was the opposite. Only works at very high settings. Real man here, I've spent hours on Amazon looking for a lab quality magnetic stirrer under $100. I was positively surprised. As long as it lasts and doesn't break with prolonged use, I'll be happy camping. Everything fit and is much better quality than expected. The only complaint is that the temperature range isn't as wide as advertised, but it was consistent. I was only able to heat 150ml of oil to 200f, which luckily was sufficient for my purposes.
