Smaller and inferior to OEM filters

Although these filters look the same as the original filters that came with my Tesla Model 3, they are smaller and lighter. It also tells me they have less activated carbon than the original filters. Although they fit, they are smaller, so they let more unfiltered air through. I would not buy this product again due to the poor fit and poor quality.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Crumpled

No more reason to spend

Ideal for Tesla Model 3. There are many indications that the air filter needs to be changed frequently. They are very similar to OEM and I expect them to work the same way. So I see no need to spend more. The replacement is a little painful, but not too bad. Use an evaporator coil cleaner if you want to get rid of your air conditioner's musty smell.

Pros
  • Practical item
Cons
  • Exchange possible

Good filters but Tesla sucks

Quality product at a great price. Totally worth the money spent on this box which consisted of 2 filters for my model 3. Still, thumbs down for Tesla. Why the world designed this arrangement of dog air filters. If your physique is above average, good luck finding a comfortable position in your Model 3 to change filters.

Filters are perfect, but the task is very difficult

Filters are perfect. If you decide to replace the filters yourself, you will be satisfied with this. These filters are ideal for OEM filter placement. However, I have found that changing the filters on my Tesla Model 3 is a very difficult task. I've done many other DIY projects on this car but I won't be doing it again. All aspects of the work were difficult. Replacing the right side panel was next to impossible for me. It took many repeated attempts to get it back in place. I'm sure I lost or…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Looks and feels like factory, but...

Same size and fit as a factory Tesla filter and free of the musty smell notorious on Tesla models. But this thing came with its own scent. At first I thought it was because it's new and will be gone soon but it's been a few weeks now and no change. Still not bad compared to the moldy smell and it will go away after a while but the smell will come back when you get back in the car. For the price it couldn't be better. Just buy an air freshener while you're in.

Pros
  • Clean air for driver and passenger
Cons

Great price but not an OEM replica.

The filter I received did not have the thick sidewalls as shown in the photos. I uploaded a photo showing the difference between them. This filter has the same external dimensions as the original and fits well. My only concern is that this thicker felt side might provide a better seal between the filters once installed. The filter material itself looks good, so I decided to install it. You can't beat the price. I'll probably do an OEM next time.

Pros
  • Improved HVAC performance. Replacement every 12 months or 12,000 miles is recommended.
Cons
  • Very expensive

Very similar to the OEM Tesla, great price

They are sold as a pair. Very important. They look the same as factory installed. My strategy will be to buy them and switch more often. I don't think a more expensive filter will solve the problem of possible mold growing on the evaporator coils in the summer. As others have said, spray some evaporator foam like Kool-it before installing new filters. The entire installation is tricky due to the Torx 20 screw being difficult to access, but that's not the product's fault, just the complicated…
