Very easy do-it-yourself cabin air filter replacement

Extremely easy to replace on any vehicle. I swapped mine out for two of my 2012 Toyota Corolla LE. All you have to do on the Corolla is slide the glove box and you have access to the cabin air filter.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Should have changed sooner

Fits 2011 Toyota Corolla S. The old one I took out was TERRIBLE. It was full of leaves and a large cluster of things that looked like a mouse's nest. Haven't changed it in 5 years so it's about time. Remember: the standard Toyota filter has an arrow pointing up. While this filter has an arrow showing the direction of airflow, this is the opposite direction.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Long wait

Easy to install - but don't get confused.

Cabin air filter works well. The opportunity to save a lot of money when fitting a new filter at the dealer/service station - and it's not that difficult to fit. No tools are required and takes 10 to 15 minutes depending on how handy you are. Follow the correct instructions on the packaging. The original OEM filter may have "UP" written on it. This is nothing but the location of the filter in the compartment. Replacement filters usually have an airflow direction arrow on them. This should not…

Do it yourself! Great Choice, Fits 5th Generation Subaru Outback/Legacy

On most vehicles, replacing the cabin air filter is a simple task that almost anyone can perform. The dealer listed $65 for parts and installation or $20 for the filter itself. This is madness! It took me less than 5 minutes to change the filter on my 2017 Outback. Tools are not required. As you can see from the picture it's probably expired and I plan on replacing it more often than Subaru's recommended interval. The main difference between this product and the OEM filter is that this filter…

Compared to the OEM -- UPDATE

I've read a lot of reviews and I hope this one brings some clarity. I have a 2016 Tundra. It appears to be an OEM replacement for almost all Toyotas and a few others. I have included photos to show this compared to the OEM filter. The OEM has 27 pleats, this one has 19. It feels heavier than a dirty OEM filter. They are identical in all other dimensions. I've also included a photo of the inside of the cockpit shell to show the perfect fit. The arrows/airflow go from top to bottom. The OEM…

Worked best in passenger compartment air filters

Bought for my wife's 2014 Toyota RAV 4. It came as promised and was nicely packaged. It is fully OEM compliant. Easy installation, you open the glove box and then loosen the damper arm on the right side (see attached photo with red circle). just take it off An empty glove box, otherwise everything will fall on the floor after the next step. Press on the sides of the glove box to unlock the stops. The glove box can slope down or simply slide out. Now unclip the right side of the cabin filter…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Perfect cheap replacement for Toyota Rav 4

Surprisingly easy replacement cabin air filter for my 2008 Toyota Rav 4. At first I wasn't sure if I needed to replace the cabin air filter. But at around $9 and with such easy instructions, I'm so glad I did. The instructions on the box weren't for the Toyota Rav 4. However, a simple goggle search found the correct video. The exchange couldn't be easier. Simply open the glove box and press the plastic tab to release the plunger in the bottom right corner. Then press the tabs at the top left…
