Fits Equinox

Product arrived on time and as described. The price was very reasonable. I still doubt the usefulness of carbon in such filters in general. It still seems like there just isn't enough media and contact time to make an awful lot. This is by no means a criticism of this product. It was assembled decently, the dimensions seemed good and fitted right where they should. Overall the filter media looked good and consistent so couldn't ask for more if the price is right.

$50 saved! - Parts

The dealer wanted to charge me $60 to put a new one in the slot behind the glove box. This one is just beautiful and fits perfectly in my 2017 KIA Sedona Van. I even showed my wife how to do it so she knew we'd never have to pay ridiculous installation prices for simple car repairs like this. Good product! There is also no strange smell in the cabin after installation. The few dollars I've saved for this thing pale in comparison to the thousands my humble fox wife has saved our family over the…

Great air filter at a great price but the air flow arrow can be reversed

After much comparing I bought this filter for my 2015 Kia Optima. Reviews were generally outstanding, but I noticed one gentleman's review that the direction of the airflow was reversed, meaning the activated carbon would blow into the cabin, pretty much defeating the purpose of a filter. I checked mine carefully during installation and found mine was mislabeled as well, so I installed it upside down. This is really a minor inconvenience for a charcoal filter at this price point. Basically…

Undecided but happy. Good for filters

I was reluctant to buy it because the Revain workshop said it would not fit my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. But since the description said it would fit, I took a chance. Not only does it fit, it outperforms the original factory filter. It is much stronger and the filter material is much thicker. I was also concerned that some of the one star reviews complained that the airflow indicator was mounted backwards. At first glance I also thought the carbon side should be facing up. But upon closer…

Easy change with a perfect fit.

When it comes to air filters, my biggest complaint is that the filters match almost perfectly. They are either too big and crumple when inserted, or too small and rattle without filtering all the air. With the automatic EP filter this is no problem. This is the perfect size for my 2016 Santa Fe Sport. It includes an easy-to-read airflow arrow on the side, as well as instructions on the packaging for which direction to point the arrow. A complete filter change took less than a minute, including…

5 stars except for the airflow arrow

This filter looks solid, doesn't fold like cheap filters when installed, fits my Chevrolet as per the specs and has lots of folds. In dollars this is good value for money. I would give it 5 stars except the airflow arrow is pointing to the carbon side. The filter doesn't have a thick layer of carbon and the carbon seems to be attached fairly well, but having the airflow exit the filter through the carbon is counterintuitive as this can release carbon into the cabin. It makes more sense to have…

2015 Santa Fe 2.0T Sport Ultimate

Same as OEM. Very good saving compared to buying an original part from a theft and paying for the absurd work of fitting it. It's literally a 3 minute job, a snap. It should be noted that the standard Hyundai/Kia brand filter that my car came new with is also a charcoal filter like this one. I didn't know this originally when I pulled out the original to inspect it it was black and freaked me out and how dirty it was. It turned out to be black because of the carbon. The original was covered in…

You can do it!: Spare parts

I read an article about additional ways to save money. The item included replacing the air filter to improve fuel economy. I'm not one to work with cars, but I was out of line (a little) so I thought about changing the air filter. I read, checked You Tube and read reviews about these filters. The fact that I bought an air filter started the process. Because the reviews clearly show how much money you save by replacing the air filter yourself. If you are also a kept trust me you can do it. The…

Compare the airflow arrows to the filter structure; Mine were upside down.

I bought both the activated carbon version of this filter and the standard version. This is the activated carbon version. The manufacturer ruined my, big time. Instead of having activated carbon on the inlet side of the filter, the filter was labeled as having activated carbon on the outlet side of the filter. It's not just a small problem. That means if I put in a filter that said "Airflow," my wife and I would inhale carbon dust. Anyone from Tennessee or Virginia will tell you that inhaling…
