Fishy and too waxy Good for kitchen and dining room

First of all, a very fishy smell. Second, the oil seems to be working. The oil does not appear to soak into the wood panel like most wood surfaces do. It's hard to wash off. you almost have to erase it, which defeats the purpose of covering it up in the first place. After use there were traces of knife cuts on the board. So I can't say that this product works.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Purchase doubts for the elderly

Good finish on the wooden cutting board

This product made my wooden cutting boards shine and shine again. They look almost new. The combination of beeswax and oil is great for keeping your wooden plank shiny and protected from water. Try to keep soap usage to a minimum, and a thorough cleaning will also extend the life of your board. Whatever you do, don't leave the board in the water. The pH of wood is unfavorable for bacteria. Studies show that wooden floorboards contain fewer bacteria than plastic or acrylic products.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Some bugs

Can't recommend highly enough

I'm a bit crazy about chopping boards. I have a cutting board; some Brazilian; a few odd shapes, rustic, and then my workhorses, Epicurean - they all get tons of use and need conditioning. LOVE the included sponge: The punched-out little grooves for your thumb and forefinger make it super easy to apply the optimal amount to the sponge for spreading. Convenient, no mess; and it seems to me that it will last a long time (even if I use it every week). I love this stuff.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • So far so good

I used to use lemon oil (my dad has a boat and they use Guardsman Revitalizing Lemon Oil on teak). It works well, but this oil actually seems to hold moisture better for cutting boards. It is best to lay it on a board and let it dry overnight. It's more like a cream. Lemon oil is great, but it's just a different application and I find that both applications are good for different wood surfaces. Lemon oil for furniture, oil for more porous surfaces (e.g. old furniture that has lost its finish or

The all-in-one you need for all your Epicurean products

Wow this stuff works. I have other wooden boards and some bamboo boards that I need to oil and wax. The process is sometimes a bit tedious because they are not always that easy to clean. Well, this oil is an all-in-one for epicurean boards. Once they look faded, a little of this oil will make them look brand new. I'm new to these types of boards and the other products but I'm quickly adding to my collection because they work so well and are so easy to maintain. I just can't bring myself to…

My cutting board looks like new

We use our Epicurean cutting boards several times a day and they are starting to show signs of wear. When I bought a set of boards online as a gift 2 months ago, I saw the Epi butter and decided to buy one for the gift recipient and one for us. I'm so glad I did. The Epi Butter comes with a sponge that allows users to apply just the right amount of product to the board. All those white cuts from a few months of use are gone and the board looks brand new! The product is tasteless and odorless…

Pros
  • The consistency is like butter; proprietary blend of mineral oil and beeswax; Mineral oil prevents drying and cracking

  • Gotchas

Super easy way to restore an old cutting board

I have had several Epicurean chopping boards. I supported them with different oils and something else. But I stumbled upon their board oil while looking for some new boards to add to my collection. So I bought a few to try. This stuff is pretty damn easy to use. It's like growing something, like a surfboard. To apply, simply use the included sponge. I rub it in, I let it sit for a while before removing the excess. Wake up, wake up baby, this is idiot protection. Now, for demonstration purposes,

Pros
  • 100% food safe, odorless and tasteless; Use applicator to apply, wipe off excess
