Very good for garlic. Do you remember the thin slices in the movie? Well, it's the thinnest garlic I've ever sliced. Interesting to try.

The product is usable, but it arrived badly packaged. The packaging was intact, but the box the slicer came in was torn, so I couldn't return it.

I bought it mainly for chopping garlic. I've seen Rachel Ray use this device and my goodness it really works. However, I bought a pair of gloves to protect your hands from knife cuts, as when chopping garlic your fingers touch the blade and it is very sharp. But it's a great device and has a lot more uses than just chopping garlic.

Everything I tried to cut goes almost to the end, after which the tip breaks off the veggies and jams the blade. When set to the widest setting, it becomes difficult to wedge anything stuck in the slot. It might work better for soft foods, but I'm disappointed with how it works with harder foods.
