It may work better for soft foods, but I'm disappointed with its performance.
Everything I tried to cut goes almost to the end, after which the tip breaks off the veggies and jams the blade. When set to the widest setting, it becomes difficult to wedge anything stuck in the slot. It might work better for soft foods, but I'm disappointed with how it works with harder foods.
