Garbage: Printer

Don't worry. I just hope the seller sends me a shipping label to send this piece of junk back. 1-It only provides installation instructions from CD (who currently has the CD?), no online instructions for downloading drivers. Went to the site, did it, and for Mac it's junk. 2-I never got the green light to stop blinking. 3-Never managed to turn off the red ink light. 4-Quick Start Guide is garbage. 5-Full instructions are rubbish. Couldn't even print a test page. I feel sorry for this seller and

EPSON CD Printer: Printer

Great Printer! Does what I bought it for, printing to CD/DVD. The ease of use, color, setup and instructions are all AWESOME! My only reason for 4 out of 5 is the cost of ink. A necessary evil for these types of printers is the COST OF INK REPLACEMENT and with 6 ink cartridges replacing all 6 at once will usually cost more than the printer. I started buying replacement parts (made in China) on eBay to save money. I can buy 3 sets for the price of one elsewhere. So far so good with this ink. If…

Price went down 30 days after release

I bought it from Revain 35 days ago and had to wait. The price dropped less than a few weeks after delivery. The mascara smudges when wet, even after drying for a few days, and the mascara is expensive and impossible to find. I bought this printer to print directly to CDs, DVDs, etc. It prints directly to discs with no problem, but I'm not happy with the ink usage. I had to wait for feedback from Revain's customers, who are usually quite honest. First purchase from Revain that I regret Added…

Epson R260 in Printers & Supplies

I've been waiting for Epson to update their photo printer line for about a year and finally they have 3 new PIM III printers! I only buy Epson photo printers because of the firmware built-in PIM (Image Matching for Printing) and at least half a dozen digital cameras. I prefer Casio and have an EX-Z750 with PIM III. You can really see the difference between photos printed in normal mode and photos printed with PIM III. When you capture an image with the PIM III camera, several key elements are…

Epson R260 is great for labeling DVDs!

I just got my Tivo and have archived my shows to DVD so make a DVD STACK regularly. Tried all the standard transfer labels but wasn't happy with the results; Whites were "good" but very pedestrian. The clear ones were the prettiest, but they always had air bubbles in them. Solution: Printable DVDs and Epson. After reading all the reviews I bought a used Epson 260 and was VERY happy with it. The cartridges may be expensive, but the markings are just primitive! Sharp, crisp and very professional…

Ink alternatives for a thirsty printer

I just ordered this printer today so haven't tried it yet. Hence the average rating. HOWEVER, instead of being spooked by horror stories about a printer craving very expensive ink, I did some research on Google and eBay. What I found were standard ink cartridges. contains 13 ml of ink. So high capacity (HC) cartridges should hold 19.5ml (50% more, right?). I've found standard cartridges online for about $9 including shipping and HC cartridges for about $11. What really fascinated me was the…
