Excellent document scanner; Photos cannot be scanned.

High speed scanner, a friend of mine has a Fujitsu ScanSnap Borrowed the IX500 and used it to digitize thousands of our old photo albums. This scanner was a dream come true and after having to return it we waited a bit and finally settled on this Epson ES500 as there were so many bad reviews for the newer Fujitsu IX1500. Great high-speed scanner with great software

I did a lot of research before investing in a document scanner. I wanted something fast and with flexible software that would support my workflow. I ended up buying an Epson Workforce ES-500W as a refurbished unit from Revain. Firstly I am very happy with the refurbished unit, it looks and works like new - a lot. This Work Force is a workhorse

I don't do reviews at all if something is really bad or something is very good. This scanner is one of the really good ones. The installation of the software takes a little time, but runs smoothly. The scanner scans at 35 pages per minute as advertised, and it doesn't seem to matter if you're scanning single-sided or double-sided, at least I haven't noticed it. I scanned at 600 dpi, so I don't know if that slows down at higher settings. The documentation and adverts say it has a 50-page…
