We have a home clock company in Florida and controlling relative humidity is a key element in mold prevention. When we do a home inspection, we use this device to compare it to the homeowner's device. We also used another accuracy comparator and found that Eray products are much more reliable and dependable. This is our third purchase of this device and we can say that we are very satisfied.

I compared the accuracy of this device to my Kestrel 4500. No, maybe not an entirely fair comparison as Kestrel costs 10x more, but still a useful point left. After several parallel tests, I've found that it takes some time to acclimatize, so you need to leave it in place for a few minutes to get an accurate temperature or humidity reading. If that suits you, then it might be a good price. I'll probably send mine back and look for something that will stabilize and calibrate quicker.

Unit takes time to stabilize. It says it takes about 2 minutes to read. In my experience it takes longer. The device takes 10 seconds to change the temperature by one degree. UPDATE OVERVIEW (December 12, 2021) This thermometer is taking a VERY LONG time to set up. So when it is used to measure different ambient temperatures, it is very annoying, especially when you go from a cold to a warm environment or vice versa, i.e. to measure a cold outside temperature and a warm outside temperature, it can take more than 15 minutes to set up.
