Out of specification

I have a Samsung C49HG90. fiddled with my arm for an hour (sleeve was too tight - and only slipped off after a few tries and wobbles) - everything set up - except that the monitor immediately gave way and almost crashed onto the table. The VESA springs weren't strong enough to hold the monitor in one position. Extremely disappointed and now my C49HG90 is back on its stand and dominating my desk. Disappointed in Ergotech - your product did not live up to expectations. The C49HG90 weighs 27…

Pros
  • Tilt: 90° up, 45° down
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Amazing monitor mount.

Monitor Stand works great! I love it. I previously bought the NON HD version and now I bought the HD version to make sure it supports the 34 inch ultrawide I have. Arrived in a thick box, all neatly packed. Unfortunately some of the cable management clips in the box broke when I received them. When unpacking, parts of it fell out. I contacted Amazon and they gave me a $15 Revain credit to get 3rd party cable clamps banging on it. That's not a bad solution, I just thought I could replace those…

Pros
  • VESA Compatible: 75x75 and 100x100
Cons

Bigger, stronger than advertised Ergotech's Freedom Arm HD

I recently replaced two old 30" monitors with a 43" Sony X800H TV and have long been a fan of monitor mounts on my desk. The price was reasonable and the size and weight of the Sony made it difficult to manage, so I took a chance by going with this mount. I'm glad I did - it fits the TV perfectly, gives me great freedom of movement and remains stable even when I hit the table. It shakes a bit when the kittens hit the mouse pointer, but not enough to make it move. If you are looking for the same

Pros
  • easily mounts to any standard desk, creating a tidy workspace. Sturdy aluminum construction
Cons
  • Useless features

Four years of reliable performance and the job goes on

Bought this in May 2017 to take my 27" iMac with me. Now on my second iMac and the hand still works great. Never had any problems with the springs and haven't noticed any drop in tension or load capacity.I originally bought this lever because of the higher load capacity declared by the manufacturer. My experience has been positive and my arm supports not only the weight of the iMac but also two external hard drives and a CD -drive in an attachable shelf i found online the bottom line is i am…

Nearly perfect. Best in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

I used the standard Ergotron mount with my Wacom Cintiq 27qhd. The weight was almost at the limit, but balanced with maximum spring tension. That ultimately failed. This heavy-duty model holds the weight with no problem. In fact, I had to crank the spring to the minimum to neutralize the weight from the monitor. " Perfection. made of cheap plastic. It compresses or decompresses a fairly thick steel spring to provide resistance. This part should be aluminum or at least cheap metal. So of course…

Not compatible with all VESA compatible monitors

I bought two of these monitors to set up two large monitors. I've installed monitors many times and these have been some of the most difficult and frustrating things I've ever had to install. First, the monitor arm attaches directly to the monitor, there is no detachable arm like many other monitor arms. So you need to attach the bracket to the monitor first and hope you don't drop it while trying to insert the bracket into the base. Second, to adjust the vertical height of the monitor arm…

Pros
  • Compatible with PC and iMac monitors with built in VESA compatibility
Cons
  • Has defects

Great for heavy ultra wide monitors

I've had this arm for about a week now and it's holding up very well. I recently bought an AOC 35-inch ultra-wide monitor that weighs about 26 pounds, and the stand took up a lot of desk space that I didn't want to lose, so I groped for an arm or another bracket checked. Most of them have an upper weight limit of 20 pounds or so and even without the kickstand my ultrawide weighs more. Another reviewer said it doesn't hold up well to its heavier Ultrawide, but it definitely doesn't. I needed to…
