only one problem in candle making

All the colors in this bundle worked perfectly and could be mixed and mixed to make different colors except black. I tried to make a black candle and the shavings didn't fuse with the wax at all.

Waste of money good for crafting

What the hell am I supposed to do with this? Gray can't be gray. I'm very disappointed considering I had a candle making party this weekend and I have to work with that. NEVER AGAIN!

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Worth the cost. suitable for handicrafts

colors shine and can be mixed well. They're easy to use and don't make a mess like other candle making methods I've tried in the past. The crowd keeps a decent time for the many uses I've tried. Will buy again.

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • little things

Used in Soy Candles

I like the variety of colors I can choose from. They look very nice dry. I test how the paint will look by dripping some hot wax onto parchment paper. I find paint residue at the bottom of the Crucible when I pour water. I add color when I add my fragrance at 185. I don't know if temperature affects how they dissolve in soy wax?

MAKE SURE YOUR TEMPERATURE IS AT LEAST 200 F!

These colors are so bright and so pretty! It really doesn't take much to get a deep, rich shade. I've seen a lot of feedback about floats and chips on the floor, but I promise you it's just a matter of melting point. I heat my wax to 200 degrees and it melts the paint easily without leaving any floats or sinks. Then when I add fragrance I just wait for the wax to cool to around 175/180 degrees and it works great. The chips may look a little colorless when compacted, but the colors are as…

Pros
  • Use approximately 0.4-0.6 g (0.015-0.02 oz) of candle wax paint per pound of soy wax.
Cons

Small specifications below

Thank god I'm practicing making candles out of tin cans. I definitely can't sell them because of the annoying little specs on the bottom. I have the second batch and added the dye at the right temperature. I'm only going to switch to liquid color because powder just isn't right. I will spend the next hour pureeing the packets so they are finely chopped so I no longer have those specs. Update: After experimenting a little more with my candles, I started adding dye at over 200 degrees. 180…

Pros
  • Ideal for most waxes: paraffin, beeswax, soy wax and palm wax. Non-toxic, skin-friendly.
Cons
  • Big and bulky
