You can buy Better For Less

. I'm not sure I would buy again. I've been using it actively for a couple of weeks and have already made up my mind. It looks well made and has the functions as requested. The pencil is light and comfortable to hold. Heats up relatively quickly. And it seems to be holding the set temperature. There are 3 pre-programmed temperature settings: 150°C, 300°C and 400°C. Performance well above its price - the real deal.

I use a soldering iron most of the day. So I've had some very good soldering stations over the years. I appreciate the serious approach of the RDS 80. Due to the rather large transformer, it is heavy for its size. The soldering station is easy to set up. However, if needed, the guide is comprehensive and well-written. Other manufacturers could learn a lot from the Kurtz Ersa instructions (all instructions are very well written). Storage is easy to set up with an optional programmable standby…

Great car for the price!

Pretty great price at $99.99 (which is what I paid). Every aspect of the design (look, shape, feel, balance, functionality, etc.) feels elegant and sophisticated (for the price). And aesthetically, the look is just fantastic! Forward, Germans! The ceramic heating element/PTC temperature sensor is unique and a very compact, powerful and efficient system.
