It's not worth it. good for camping and hiking

I don't like all the features of a compass that is mostly aluminum foil with a plastic face. One is the exact opposite polarity. And the other "SOMETHING" is inaccurate. Would give zero stars if allowed

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Nothing

Should work well with bivy bags

Got these for my car SHTF/crash bag. They're small and light and I just clip them to the side of a large backpack. and when I need them, along with some other needs.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • New competition

Great compact survival bags

The fact that they make a great compact addition to my new winter gear is amazing! I like lightweight waterproof bags that allow me to use them with my sleeping bag and they provide an extra layer of warmth by reflecting my body heat.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Revainrating 4 out of 5

indispensable complement for outdoor adventures

Light, compact, no one, not even a traveler, should be without it in their backpack! When the "unexpected" happens to you, your well-being and survival should never be compromised by the lack of even minimal survival tools/equipment. If you value your life, this thing is a must!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Frequency

mostly good for tents and shelters

Bivy Sack is very good for what it is: a lightweight emergency sleeping bag. better than many I've seen. It has a band around it that seems to make it much stronger than most. Very light, very warm. The whistle is good, but the compass is pure rubbish. So buy that for a very nice bag and get a decent whistle and ditch the compass.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Damaged

Faulty compass for tents and shelters

I hope these tent bags really work in a life or death situation. If the compass points to quality, I may have problems. As you can see, none of them are accurate. I did not purchase this compass kit so I will not be writing reviews based on it, but you MUST know that you need a truly reliable compass for your hike, not a dependency on one. It's hard to know how well this bag will perform until I have to use it so it's hard to give an accurate estimate but they are small and I took one to…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some issues

Good survival bag, normal price.

Feels like a Mylar blanket with a very strong plastic garbage bag fused into a closed bag with an opening just big enough to fit inside. I unpacked one to try. At 5ft 10" and 220lbs I could fit in and have some freedom of movement. If you are over 6 feet tall you will find it difficult to stretch to your full height. It seems sturdy enough for more than one use and folds up with some difficulty to fit in a nylon storage bag. It comes with a cheap but useful survival whistle and a plastic toy…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Very expensive

Better than some reviews suggest!

I bought this as a starter for my bug bag. I'm glad there are two because I wanted to test it first and wasn't sure if it could be reused. Now I used a plastic rag to keep it from ripping on me and wow how quickly it got warm! I see how this will prevent hypothermia! However, I agree that this is not a breathable fabric. Condensation does occur inside so I would advise you to avoid this if you are stuck in not very cold temperatures! As for me, I love the multipurpose aspect of the sleeping bag

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Repair

Actually the compass works well

I'm writing this review to counter the opinion of others who say compasses are rubbish. It's not the manufacturer's fault if you don't know how to use a compass properly, and there are plenty of websites to learn more about this seemingly simple tool. In one review, the author uses a cell phone to determine true north and two compasses, one about 11 degrees east of north and the others exactly opposite. The compasses are clearly working correctly - one of them finds magnetic north, which…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
