ESR HaloLock MagSafe Car Phone Mount: Ideal for iPhone 13/12 Series, Dashboard & Air Vent Holder, Black Review

I have an iPhone 13 Pro with a magsafe magnetic case. This car mount holds my phone perfectly. Not only is it very tightly connected to the diffuser, but it can also be glued to the forward torpedo.

This case is really good. I used to have a sticky tape with a magnet that had to be attached to the phone. With the iPhone 12, you can now use the phone's built-in magnet or magnetic case. Hold tight! Now I can use my phone as a GPS again!

Ideal for holding my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I use it with an ESR MagSafe case on my phone. I did not use the fan mount included in the kit. , so I can't comment on how well this works. I attached the MagSafe mount to a custom Rennline mount with a standard 17mm bullet. Highly recommended!

I bought this along with the clear ESR magnet case and they both work well together. The phone's magnetic strength is good and I have no doubt that it will fall into the car. Attaching the plug to the vent is also well done. The clip on the actual vent is solid, but there's also a support/stability feature to help when the vent sags due to the phone's weight.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro and a transparent MagSafe Spigen Ultra Hybrid case. Unfortunately, the 13 Pro's camera is huge and the camera bump notch doesn't have enough room for that magnetic mount. When I take my case off, it *barely* removes the camera bump for the 13 Pro, but it doesn't take much shaking to fall off. Not sure if I want to risk it with my current case or go back and try something different.

The mount itself is fantastic. There is a nice support bar on the underside that holds the mount in place. The magnet is strong and works with both iPhone 12 and 13. However, the adhesive holding the magnet to the mount body (the round part) will melt due to the heat remaining in your vehicle. This weakens the connection and your phone may fall because of this. The attachment magnet itself will fall off when attached to your phone (that's how strong it is). I'm sure it's great in the winter…

The only problem was that it took me a while to find the right position for the magnet and phone to allow the airflow to reach me in the driver's seat when the A/C was running. Aside from taking the time to find the perfect setup, it was very easy to use. I like being able to pick up my phone while driving. This makes navigating the maps perfect and frees your hands.

I was looking for a MagSafe compatible dash mount and finally found this one. Everything works fine except for one fatal error. The ball on the dash mount slides down (instead of up) to detach from the adhesive backing. That means the clip has to support the weight of your phone. Today the clip came loose and my phone fell off after just a few days. If the clip design was reversed (the ball would slide onto the adhesive mount), The weight of the phone would be firmly attached to the adhesive…
