Not sure what I'm buying but a good one

This is good, still used to put PVC and bamboo in floors to drift . I wish it was a hard rubber - the product description was unclear. I took the model number from a rubber mallet bought about 15 years ago so I assumed it would be similar but it's soft rubber filled with sand or something rather than hard rubber around the hammer-like metal top as intended . It probably isn't good for my use, but if you use it on smoother, flat surfaces it's probably fine.

Pros
  • NON-SLIP CUSHION HANDLE - Comfortable, durable vinyl grip for a secure grip in all conditions
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Not as strong as advertised

I've had the hammer for almost a month now and it's not as strong as I thought it would be. I use the hydraulic loader daily and the plastic cover on the head is already badly worn and cracked. I'll count myself lucky if I get another month out of this hammer. I would suggest looking at the Estwing polyurethane jackhammers, which are a one-piece construction of hot cast polyurethane. They definitely last longer than CCD45.

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Crumpled

Neat hammer but different than ordered

Hammer measures approx. 14 inches (36 cm) top to bottom; Handle length (without head) is about 12 inches (30 cm); head diameter about 2 3/8 in. (6 cm); Head length about 4.5 inches (12 cm). Weighed on the scale - about 40 ounces. When I ordered the hammer in mid-May 2016, the photo showed a bright orange hammer and according to the product description Made in the USA; However, the hammer I received was a blue hammer with yellow inserts (see photos) that said it was made in Taiwan. You can buy…
