Not immediately! This is a standard on/off rocker switch with no instantaneous spring action. Be careful, it's just a switch!

Very good switch but it arrived in a ziplock plastic bag. You can at least have a simple schematic. There is a guide, but you don't have to look for it yourself.

I had to file a small hole on my Polaris Ranger. Polaris says you may have to. Note the spring tabs on the switch. One side does not spring. You must flip that side of the switch first. Got up straight away and works great.

What makes this one good is that there is a little bezel that goes around the switch and you can take that bezel off and use it as a template for your hole so I use that as well as a Dremel knife and X-Acto and made a perfect hole in my dash and it almost looks like this switch is factory made. Very satisfied.

Just thought I'd show a way to wire these switches. That should work for most. Oh, the switch is rated for 20 amps, I'll connect it directly in the solenoid's ground path.
