So far one cable has been DOA, but the working ones work fine.

I received a new router and 5 packs of these cables with it, the cable I used to connect the router and modem was partially discharged which caused a lot of frustration in my troubleshooting process. I ended up swapping the cable for another one from the kit and everything worked. I also didn't expect these cables to be shorter than the ones I had, but that's not a fault of my product, more like a lack of forethought. my part. I'm fed up with the rest of the cables in the pack, so far it's atโ€ฆ

Works as advertised. Confirmation of 40G, 10G and 1G speeds!

Works as advertised. Check 40G, 10G and 1G speeds over cable with either a certified patch panel or a direct connection. The quality of the cable is consistent with other cables advertised as Cat 8. The cable is quite flexible considering its thickness. The Rj45 case has a high quality metal shell, the protective case seems to be shorter than others, but that's enough given the greater rigidity than the standard category 6 due to the diameter. Ideal for local devices and offers a fast connection.

Whilst CAT 6A is certainly more than adequate for home use I only needed a few connections and opted for CAT8 as the price wasn't excessive and I figured WHY NOT :-) I'd steer clear of Keep CAT7 as the ends of the connectors may not match between providers and this category is NOT IEEE approved for networking anyway. As a rule of thumb, select CAT6A for most networks and cabling to devices, and use CAT8 FOR DATACENTER connections, e.g. B. to connect servers to switches in the same or adjacentโ€ฆ
