Converted IP camera over SM fiber like a champ

I needed a solution to add an IP camera to the network from several hundred feet over single mode fiber and this setup solved mine Problem. problem without question. Also, only one fiber was used for TX and RX, which allowed me to use other devices on our existing fiber optic network.

Used for galvanic isolation between network devices.

I was looking for an alternative to twisted copper pairs for the galvanic isolation of my switches in various places in the house. I've run fiber optic cables between where my switches are located. I plugged it in and it worked right away, no setup required.

I ordered and received six (two packs) of this device.

I've ordered six (two packs) of this block and have used four pairs so far. One unit failed after about two months, the other unit could not replace the existing 10 year old 100Mbps media converter. The run was only 700 meters long. The same unit worked successfully at 3,000 feet. The other two devices were clean at 600ft and 5000ft. Cheaper device with little guarantee in the event of delivery problems. A low powered laser is likely to cause one problem (poor connection) and a cheap power…

Good product, plug and play

Good product for making a fiber optic link between two points. For me, the surge protector was the reason I bought it after a lightning strike damaged two nearby circuit breakers. You need the right cable and always a pair of them. The product is Plug&Play and works well at 1GBit.
