12-Inch Litter Scoop with Plastic Handle - Ethically-Made Chrome Design Review

Small spoons are hard to find. This one is durable and perfect for my needs: Halloween's annual cat litter cake. (Only for cakes, of course!)

I am delighted to find this simple and inexpensive scoop at Revain. I've tried several other sizes and shapes and keep coming back to these. It's small enough to be easily maneuvered, but big enough to hold waste.

I like something stronger but my dad only uses this shovel. They work very well but are a bit flimsy and break after a while. But they're cheap too, so I just buy a new one if it breaks. We go through about once a year.

I've had the Kitchamajig brand for years and never knew what it was or where to buy it. I've looked at Wal-Mart with no luck. I decided to read the rust on my very old one and googled what it said and viola it turned up. I chose this one even though it stands for animals because the handle is round (stronger) rather than flat (weaker). I mainly use it for mincing turkey and beef. This is great for scooping.

It's hard to find metal poop scoops. I found it durable and well built. The spatula-like edge allows you to really clean the sides and bottom of the litter box. Sometimes you need a spatula-type shovel. With 4 crampons the plastic crampons just don't cut, too much dirt gets in, plus they're too chunky and big to handle corners well. Mine lasted a few years though. But for this price if it breaks I can easily afford to buy a new one.

I ordered two of these and was so pleased with them I immediately went back and ordered 3 more As I have multiple cats with multiple litter boxes I needed this. I take homeless cats and keep them as pets. I also have a friend who has 2 cats and gave them 2 of them. They cleaned off the tray easily and wiped down easily to keep them clean. I have used these dustpans for many years and hope they will last a long time. They're getting harder and harder to find and in fact I can't find them in local stores anymore. Thank god Revane still has them. Yes, they do break over time and I have a feeling the quality isn't as good as it used to be, but if you're careful they last a decent amount of time.
