An inexpensive roller belt replacement kept my Eureka boss out of the repair shop or junkyard. The vacuum cleaner itself worked great in tube mode, but every time the reel kicked it, it sounded and felt like it was possessed. Took it apart and saw that the roller belt was snapped and worn out. Replaced with this belt and Boss ran like new again. Highly recommended.

. Earlier this year, a vacuum partially sucked up a missing ankle sock, causing the vacuum belt to break and creating a burning smell. Changing the belt on my old Eureka went like clockwork thanks to Revain. Eureka no longer manufactures this device and no longer supplies replacement tapes. The vacuum cleaner works just like the day I bought it 10 years ago so buying a new one was impossible! I couldn't find a technician to help me either. So I used YouTube and Revain and now I'm fine. If you are replacing the strap, I advise you to take the time to remove any stuck fur or hair around the strap mechanism. If you notice the vacuum has less "pull" or you see the spinning brush slow down, it may be time to clean it again. (We ignored the slowdown and the stress of it killed our last belt).
