🐶 12-12.5 oz Cans of Evanger's Super Premium Dinner for Dogs Review

We are delighted to have Evangers dog food available from Revain. Although we have been happy with this for our furry family for many years, it is not available where we currently live.

No return. product factory second. All the cans were dented, including the indentations in the middle of the box. My dogs get diarrhea from it. I bought a Prior from a pet store with no problems. Remember no returns and defective cans. I threw away the duck dog food.

My little Chihuahua and Emperor Shih Tzu just love this food. I chose it because this company doesn't put salt in their food and my little shih tzu has a heart problem and doesn't need salt. And it's hard to find a company that doesn't put a lot of salt in their food.

This duck and sweet potato formula seems to be good. What I like is that unlike other fragrances from the same company, this one doesn't have a gelatinous substance running through the entire glass. As for the other combos, I felt like I was feeding my dog fat not knowing what all the clear product was in all the other Evenger canned flavors I've tried. There is nothing quite like it in this one, which is why I prefer it to other fragrances.

I usually cook for my dogs but the stove broke and this is a special order so I can't cook their own food for a month now. Also, I usually have a few tin cans on hand for emergencies. I don't find canned food "great" but at least it's decent and dogs like to eat it. Although I don't appreciate the smelly gas they get from him unless I add yogurt to their food. Definitely better than most canned foods, but definitely not as good as homemade!

I share a can of food between 2 Malamutes a few times a week to make their food more interesting. That's the one I put in rotation. It smells a lot more "human" to me than a lot of products, and dogs love it. I don't like that a lot of the glasses are dented when I get them, but so far I haven't noticed any problems. The jars are full and filled with solid food (some species have more sauce or gelatin toppings). A good choice for my purposes so far.

My dog is quite a picky eater but I didn't expect him to boycott this food so much. The brand is great and in general the taste and ingredients are rare. I thought he would choose, but I'm wondering if the texture of it was off-putting. The food is very moist and soggy. It might be great for a dog with bad teeth etc but Ollie wasn't interested. Sometimes it's harsh, sometimes it's very watery and colourful. This worries me so I decided to do a little research on the brand and discovered that they had some animal disease issues and even killed a few dogs with contaminated food. Looks like they even shut down one of their factories due to issues with the FDA (from the actual FDA website). After looking at all of this information as well as the inconsistency of the product, my confidence in this brand is gone.

I always feel so much better when I open a can that smells very pleasantly of fresh meat, and that even surprises me because I'm a vegetarian! We first tried Evanger products that we bought at our vet clinic to find out what part of the world my poor companion dog was allergic to. I really appreciated the high quality and variety of meat available, especially feeding a hardworking girl who has so many allergies! I was very happy to find out that I can buy Evanger products from Revain and Phoebe
