Feathers arrived very clean. Solid and well packed. Some of the other reviewers here try to scare you by saying the pen is "bloody" or "smells like death". I ask you. These are just artisanal nibs sold neatly and professionally. And no, I didn't get a free set. And no one asked my opinion. I just wanted to clarify.

feathers arrived very quickly. They are white, clean and odorless. I immediately pulled one out, split it and made an arrow feather out of it. The result is a perfect 5 1/2" fletch for 12 cents a feather some of which can make two fletches at a fantastic price. Will definitely be buying more for my arrow shop.

feathers stink terribly! And some of them had blood in their feathers, and some had turkey skin. I tried washing with Lysol and hot water. When that didn't work I tried bleach and water to get rid of the horrible smell of rot and chemicals. They cannot be used in this state. If they were clean and odorless, they could be used to make writing pens.
