Shipped without any protection

I am very disappointed that my unit was only sent to me in retail packaging with no packaging or boxes. Totally unacceptable for sensitive (and expensive) electronic components. I'm confident that the power adapter will live up to the standards as long as it continues to work even if it's been dropped and possibly got soaked in transit. I will update the rating after testing is complete.

Strength like a champion!

I used this EVGA Supernova 850 Ga, 80 Plus Gold 850W to power my new Ryzen 9 3900x, Gforce 2080 super, ROG STRIX x570-E motherboard, 32GB RAM, RGB liquid cooling in the nzxt 510 case and so on to operate machine runs like a champ! it is very quiet and you can only hear it when you start your computer for the first time. The rest of the computer works almost silently.

The best I've used. in Computer Components

This power supply is installed in two of my PCs and a server. This is the quietest of the brands I have installed. It's fully modular, which is a big plus when trying to secure cables. I've been making my own servers and desktops for about 20 years and when you do it makes it a lot easier to work with power as well. Enough power for multiple drives (HDD/SSD) and decent graphics cards, all in a 5-fan chassis. There have been no problems or failures with this product so far.

Great power supply with many options.

I bought this power supply to prepare for some upgrades. I'm very happy with it so far. Comes with everything you need for various settings. What I like best is that the cables detach from the device, so you only have to connect the cables you need and don't have to find space for all the extras you don't need.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • There are nuances

OCP Sensitive - Internal PSUs

I used this PSU on an RTX 3090 and Ryzen 7 5800x. The OCP kicked in when running super graphics intensive games on Ultra (RDR2) where the RTX 3090 was just sipping juice. I lowered the voltage on my card and the OCP didn't interfere with any game. The noise level wasn't an issue for me, but I'm probably not as sensitive as some people. I've been working with Eco mode on and off, which seemed normal to me. Modularity is great. I contacted EVGA support and they replaced that PSU with a 1000W PSU,

This power supply is impressive.

EVGA SuperNOVA 850 is impressive. I always choose EVGA for PC parts as they are of the highest quality and very reliable. However, I bought it to replace my old PSU so I could take on a new set of graphics cards. However, for an 850W PSU, it's about the same size as my 650W PSU and has an Eco Mode feature. Pros: * Modular power supply with selectable cables (that was a game changer). * Eco mode * Suitable for some incredibly small cases. (My NZXT H510i)* Very quiet operation. Cons:* Some of…

Died after 5 months, out of warranty but not quite crazy

Now most people would give this sucker a star after it died after 5 months of service but I don't . I'll explain why right here. What's good: It's a nice little power supply with lots of cables, and it had everything I needed to power a mid-range gaming build. The materials were pretty strong (until it exploded) and I had no problems with it. Bad: It exploded. Now the PSU didn't explode out of nowhere. What happened to me is I had a Corsair H60 liquid cooler installed on my CPU and that suction
