Have DOA. Waiting for replacement. Maybe there is no quality control.

This product has received a DOA. get replacement. When I received this product I was looking forward to installing it as my lizard needs a little extra warmth. I tried screwing it into the mount but it didn't work. I tried it a few times thinking it was just me. At some point I gave up and researched why it just wouldn't work. Apparently it passed their quality check because the strands were balled up, which I couldn't even do. I used a thin metal rod to separate them hoping this would solve…

Pros
  • Solid ceramic element, suitable for wet environments
Cons
  • Only available in black

It does the job

I was pleasantly surprised with my order, they sent me a professional series 60 watt black CE. This product works great. However, I can't say how good the one advertised here is. but the one i got in my order works great with low energy costs, i also bought a 100 watt CHE series from a local pet store and as of october 2011 my chinese water dragons are nice and cozy in their homes. .Also that's what I got and I'm definitely satisfied. 1339710307&sr=1-2 I guess Amazon missed a 60w heater (white)

Pros
  • Doesn't emit any light, doesn't interfere with normal photo times (day/night)
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Exo Terra Ceramic Heater Fails

Exo Terra PT2048 Ceramic Heater 250W 110V It does exactly what it says on the tin and I've used it with the "essential" Exo Terra wired light. It lasted 4 months and failed. I found that it didn't radiate heat when my bearded dragon became unusually inactive. It turned out that the lamp base, where the hot side of the circuit touches the tongue in the cartridge, burned out and disconnected from the lamp base, and the lamp itself burned out. The boss in the socket was black, as if overheated or…

Pros
  • Emits Natural "Solar" Infrared Heat
Cons
  • Great Price
