Exo Terra Liquid Crystal Thermometer Review

Received very cheaply and quickly via Prime. They are well done and easy to read. Used them in Carlo Rossi 1 gallon jars for fermentation purposes. Temperature readings are accurate and visible.

I recently bought a corn snake and wanted a pair of thermometers to make sure I'm heating them up properly. I put one on the hot side and the other on the cold side. You seem to be pretty accurate. They are large, easy to read, easy to stick and hold. As my collection of reptiles grows I will be buying more!

Meh I've tried 2 liquid crystal thermometers plus a digital one I use to check the water. Liquid crystals work, but they're really hard to read and the accuracy isn't great. I would suggest buying a cheap digital kitchen thermometer and using it to check the water temperature for an easier and more accurate reading!

This sticky thermometer works great! I put it in my 1 gallon jar that I use to brew kombucha and it always gives me a clear and accurate idea of what the temperature of my brew is. As you can see from the picture I had no problem reading the temperature on this thermometer, it always glows green exactly where I want it!

I needed another thermometer for the terrarium and bought it although I'm not a fan of this style. Well, once it's in place, there it is. I didn't like his potion on the tank and ended up throwing it in the trash because it can't be reused. For me it was a waste of money. However, if you like and prefer this type of thermometer, it might be for you. I prefer equipment that I can detach and move around as conditions change (e.g. new living space, renovation, etc.).

While I was more than happy with this thermometer overall, I knew that most of its shortcomings are common to all liquid crystal thermometers (a common complaint is that they only measure glass temperature , and not inside the tank", so they don't fit where absolute accuracy is required), there is one problem - if you glued it and you don't like where you put it, be ready, buying a new one, I'm on my second because the stubborn thing just wouldn't come off and started tearing.
