Perfect for my 10 gallon aquarium for small particles and food, but once the water gets very cloudy this filter will start to struggle.

This device is suitable for circulating water. However, it doesn't filter much. The internal "filter" looks like a sponge and only catches larger particles. I probably won't be shopping here again.

the filter element is just a coarse sponge suitable for turtles as they don't breathe underwater and are easy to clean regularly. can also be fully submerged, so the minimum water depth is about 2 1/2 inches (when laid on its side). When it's not underwater, it's loud - underwater, it's quiet. The flow rate is adjustable, but clogged vents limit filtration - - There's something to behold.

This filter works very well, about a day. I have this in an aquarium with two fire-bellied toads. It moves water fairly well and cleans water well. We use this product in a 10 gallon tank. Fill the tank halfway with water. This pump provides enough circulation to pump water and keep the tank clean.
