Okay. so it works. It's a sixteen dollar ($16) piece of plastic and silicone that holds and protects the Bic lighter. THAT costs $16. So I attached a 550 paracord cord to it, which is attached to an SS belt loop hook. THAT'S WHY it gets 4 stars and not 5 because they had to tell consumers about this little trick to keep the lid in place. I spent some chilly nights camping without a campfire and my nearly 60-year-old bones didn't like it one bit. and that's why i got it. Cannot hit Bic to start…

Doesn't work (lid doesn't stay that pointless) and VERY overpriced.

Lid won't stay on, so why? I thought $16 was a bit much, but bought it anyway on the spur of the moment. Wow once I got my hands on it it's not just $16 it's a lot, $6 would be too much. It's just a piece of silicone and a piece of plastic that probably costs about 5 cents to make. Not only that, but the fact that they are two different materials pulls the rubberized silicone off the hard plastic cap instantly. Seriously squeeze the cap as hard as you want and after a few seconds the cap will…

The Exotac Firesleeve is the best lighter and match

Some people say the hard plastic top doesn't stick to the rubber bottom. I have always modified my Firesleeves by wrapping them with 1/8" Shock Cord and securing the cord with a cord lock as shown in the photo. You will have no accidents if you do this. I would give the product a 5th rating Giving stars if the material was more durable and the price was lower however I have never had a problem with my bic lighter getting damaged or running out of all butane Firesleeve works as advertised Also I

Unreasonable price, flawed design.

I hated to miss the price as there is nothing else on the market that compares. It's just a rubber case with a hard plastic cover. The lid doesn't sit tight, so it doesn't snap into place, but slides over three rubber ribs that want to push it away. If you hit the cover, you can easily lose it. Also, the rubber strap used to hold the gas button on the lighter is not comfortable to use. It's difficult to put it on the gas button without getting caught under the gas button or breaking the lighter

Great fire sleeve for lighters and matches

I finally decided to buy a fire sleeve to protect my Bic lighter from damage and accidental gas leaks. The hub looks well built, but if I had to guess what would go wrong with it, it would be where the cam connects to the ground. No locking tongue/rib, just a natural, snug fit. I think this is where over time the place where the lid flies/flies becomes smoother and weaker. At this point I need to tie it to the bottom half. It has loops on both ends for hanging, not quite sure why. I can tie the

Put the cap at an angle, it will hold tight!

To respond to other reviews about the cap not staying in place. Yes, I have this problem too, but it's easily solved by squeezing the cap at an angle. The air pressure when putting on the cap pushes it back because there is no way to relieve the excess pressure. I tried squeezing the lid to let air through when installing, it won't come out. Only when I mounted it at an angle did it stay nice and tight, allowing air to escape before the lid closes completely flush with the case. The only way to

Overpriced Lighter Case

At almost $20 this is an unreasonable purchase to keep a lighter dry. Beak is one of several Firestart Reserves that are so cool to have. However, I feel that the marketing and price of this item is being taken advantage of a bit. This is a silicone case and hard plastic cap specially designed for the classic bic. This is to keep your lighter dry when you need it. I knew this was happening and ignored the price, hoping the benefit would be worth it. The "function" that supposedly keeps the…
