The material is strong enough, the compartments are spacious. The downside for me is that the side extensions aren't really connected to the main midsection. They just lie in a box underneath. So if you wanted to remove it, the items on the sides would just fall out. But keeps everything in place. So I'm happy with that.

I'm not sure who had kitchen drawers wide enough to take full advantage of this organizer, but I definitely don't know. I was prepared for it not to fit perfectly and figured it would be fine even if I could just use one of the large side dish extenders or if I used the main tray and side trays in separate drawers. However, there is no way to turn the extensions into a solid additional shelf.

Nobody mentioned the fact that the main body has slots to align with the tabs on the extension pieces that fit into the slots about every 1/2 inch. It was important for me to know this. They are very strong but not very agile. Some underestimate the rating due to this fact. But I keep them in a drawer and never move them. Ideal for drawers with special widths! Very high quality built. The expanders only sit in the slot, not firmly fixed. No problem if they don't move.

I bought a heavy 16 serving dinner set and needed a new tray for it. I like its elegant look. I was only able to use one of the side shelves as my drawer was a bit tight for both. In order for my cutlery to fit because it was thicker than my old set, I needed half of each piece to face opposite directions in the compartments. Also, since my cutlery is very heavy, the tray will gradually move back a few inches as the drawer moves. I have to periodically drag it back to the front of the drawer…

I had high hopes for this since I looked at the reviews. I would give 3.5 stars if I could.
