Works well no instructions

The product works but without instructions I had to figure something out. The driver is on the CD in the sata folder. I attached two drives to the card and saw them in Device Manager, but they didn't show up in the BIOS and weren't listed as drives. Didn't think of doing a hard drive setup. (Search for creating and formatting disk partitions) so instead I used the SATA connectors on the motherboard and moved the DVD burner to the card and it caught up and worked right away. I suspect creating a

Did exactly what it was supposed to

I tried to cancel my order because my original reason for buying it had changed but it was too late to cancel so I decided to cancel it kept for future work. This turned out to be a good decision as just 5 days after receiving it I noticed that my DVD drive no longer reads discs or even shows up as a drive. At first I thought something was wrong with the drive so I swapped drives on 2 systems and quickly realized it was the motherboard and not the drive. I took that off the shelf, installed it…

Works as advertised!

I was a bit concerned that a cheap PCIe SATA card would not work or cause problems, but this thing ran through without any problems and was recognized by Windows immediately. The box came with all the essentials and seemed well packaged to Revain's frustration-free standards. The PCIe card was packaged in an anti-static bag with a small driver CD, mini-screwdriver, and low-profile bracket mounting screws. Unlike some other cheap cards, this one has a black circuit board which looks nice and…

Working properly Computer accessories and peripherals

I inserted the card and connected it to my bootable SSD. Got a bootmgr error. So I unplugged it from the boot drive, reset it, and booted by plugging it into the data disk. Booted, hard drive found. AND THE DRIVERS WILL BE INSTALLED AUTOMATICALLY. After reboot and shutdown. Boot drive plugged in. All hard drives in the bios were shown. Then Windows booted normally. speed increased. I ran Disk Speed Tester before and after and saw a 50% increase in data transfer speed. So I'm happy. it works…

I suspect it should work on my Mac Pro Tower

MHQJRH PCI Express SATA 3.0 controller card: Worked fine at full SATA speed, but unfortunately my HP desktop PC BIOS doesn't support booting from it. It's not the adapter, so I can't deduct a star. As soon as the Linux system started, the drive was recognized immediately. However, if you connect a 1TB to 4TB hard drive, it's great for storage. Low and high riser cards, as well as straight inline SDD cables (some may prefer angled connectors, but that depends on case), mounting screws and a mini

Great Value with Limits

I needed two Sata 3 ports to add two 5TB drives to my desktop computer. I only have one SATA port left on my computer. I wanted to mirror disks. When I connected these 2 drives to the sata ports, it couldn't handle it. I had nothing but errors from the start (windows 10 disk management mirroring). I already have a 10TB mirror in my computer. I saved the day by moving my BlueRay/DVD/CD drive to this card. I then used the freed up internal SATA to create my own mirror. This is a low-end…

Be patient with computers and accessories

Windows 10 isn't always kind to new devices and hard drives. After a lot of work I finally managed to read two rack hard drives with this SATA controller. It would probably be better to start with a freshly formatted and blank hard drive on another system, or just use new and unformatted drives. Then use Windows Disk Management to format the drives. I suggest installing the card first, booting it up and seeing if it boots correctly in Windows. Then experiment with adding drives or other SATA…

plug and play in SATA Cables

This product did exactly what I needed. For me, I needed more SATA ports to use the secondary hard drive. My computer has 4 native SATA ports on the motherboard, but it had 5 HDD slots, so I needed this SATA controller to add another additional SATA port to the motherboard via PCIe. Works like a dream. A screwdriver and screws were included in the box so you can replace the back plate for the card if you need the flat plate that comes with the box, driver disk and 2 SATA data cables. I didn't…
