Disappointing Expansion Interface for Desktops

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I could easily see the flaws in this product. Despite its claims, it did not perform at the level that I expected. The interface itself was clunky and overly complicated to install. Computers these days require a seamless experience, and this did not deliver that. One positive aspect was that it did come with clear instructions, but unfortunately, that wasn't enough to warrant recommending it.

  • Provides a simple and convenient way to connect additional devices to a desktop computer.
Cons
  • Not compatible with laptops or other portable devices.

Works best with I/O port cards

Very easy installation (yes). It works, Windows 10 automatically installed the driver and now I can use the front USB 3.0 port without buying a new phone :D

Quick and easy installation with a free PCIe X1 slot and motherboard power connector.

I have my own computer which I built from scratch in 2009. It has an ASUS motherboard with an Intel Quad/4 processor and I've added an ATI Radian graphics card. I'm running Windows 10 Home 64-bit on it and it serves me well. I recently purchased a WD 12TB USB 3.0 external hard drive to use as backup storage for all my data on my home network. The motherboard only had USB 2.0 ports and the file transfer speed was very slow. Rather than spend a few hundred dollars to buy or build a new computer…
