That was very helpful. Most traction chains are 6 inches long. This makes it easy to make it longer. Estimate how long the chain will need and cut it according to that requirement. It's easy to use and very flexible.

I missed those years. I used to be able to buy this at neighborhood hardware stores and 5 and dime stores. The big stores don't seem to sell them. They're beautiful and durable, with lots of connectors. There are good new chains in my pantry and basement. I am very happy

My wife and I have always had trouble remembering which wire on our lights is for the light and which is for the fan. I added these chains to the cords and made the light long and the fan short. This works fine for us. It's been up for over a year now with no problems.

I'm short. There are chains on a few lamps in the basement that I couldn't reach because the chain was too short. I cut the length needed, connect it to the nozzle and that's it. Plus it came to me, I didn't have to go to the hardware store to find it. Functional, otherwise I'm too lazy, what bad can you say about that?

For the price I really liked these chain links. I intend to lengthen most ceiling fan pull chains because we are all short. But I actually did because my 93-year-old mother-in-law needed them lower so she wouldn't lose her balance when trying to turn off the fan. Works perfectly. It's just a chain and 20 links over the original pull chain on the lantern.

Simple, light weight, with connectors. If I have a "remark", the chain is strong! My scissors won't cut the chain, and neither will the razor blade. Make sure you have something sharp with some pressure - I ended up needing my dog's nail clippers to do the job (I'm that resourceful). A little thing but otherwise a good product that lives up to the hype and does what it should.

I had a couple of traction chains that are old and a bit rusty. Wanted to switch to newer (smoother metal) chains for easier control of my lights/fans. They work great - look way better than my old ones and feel sturdy enough. I cut the chains to the right length with garage scissors. So, no no, if you need traction chains, they're perfect.
