It holds my ladder on slippery concrete that could otherwise slip and get me hospitalized. My ladder slipped once before I bought this, I hung from the ceiling until a passerby put it back and held it. I was lucky then, now I'm ready.

Use of this ladder base stabilizer in combination with the top stabilizer. In between, I no longer worry about climbing up onto the roof to work on something. I am a 65 year old woman who was no longer afraid of sliding down the extension ladder. Thank you for this product, should last a long time.

I used this to secure a telescoping ladder I bought to install Christmas lights on the roof. I'm glad I did. My husband is afraid of heights so I had to go to the 2nd floor myself. I secured the ladder and never slipped. It has ribs that help keep the ladder at an angle. I would never turn on the light without it. I'm still alive so I'd say that's a winner.

Works well on dry, flat surfaces, but not on smooth surfaces (like roofing membrane) that contain moisture at all. This carpet stinks of chemicals. I've aired it out for over a month and still have nowhere to store it indoors (garage, car, etc.). It's so bad it gives me a headache and if I take it anywhere I have to tie it to the roof.

A ladder slipped out on the back deck below me and I've been super-sketching onto the roof ever since. I saw this a few weeks after the accident and knew it was exactly what I needed. I've been using it for a few months now and I'll tell you what, I can't work without it. Works great on wet or dry driveways and works great on slippery wooden decks.

It's just a thin rubber pad, nothing special about it to better hold the ladder in place. When I packed it I had a terrible toxic smell and I had to keep it in the garage for two weeks. It still smells like poison so I'm sending it back. In the picture it is shown as a solid, thicker piece of rubber. I have mats thicker and stronger than this.

Wish it was stronger, thicker and bigger. It's almost too small for my 24ft Werner extension ladder, which isn't even that wide, it barely fits on this rug. And the material is quite thin and flexible, so it conforms to uneven ground and isn't as reassuring. The "protrusion" on the carpet is NOT solid, it's hollow and almost useless. I am a plumber by trade. I'm always at 20 or 30 feet on the stairs. Many surfaces are patchy, e.g. B. stamped concrete, composite pavement and even smooth asphalt pavement.
