The only downside is that it's plastic.

So for what you pay, can you get a better deal? If the answer is yes, then buy it. The only downside I have is that this case is made of plastic and not metal or aluminum so it can cause drive overheating issues as plastic is a thermal insulator and metal/aluminum is a thermal insulator. a heat conductor that helps cool the drive. So I just needed an enclosure that I could use the drive in for a few minutes at a time. anything. It has USB C, it's amazing! and it's cheap!

Nice clear case

Used this case to transfer 2.5" SATA II drives from an old laptop. The clear case looks very nice (my discs are different so I can tell them apart without the labels). I chose USB-C to test the future. I have no idea about the maximum speed of the controller as SATA II cannot saturate USB-C. A few things to note: Clear plastic is somewhat soft and flexible (probably PVC or polycarbonate). It scratches easily like phone cases, but looks very nice. The case has room for regular drives, but thereโ€ฆ

Great price for a USB 3.0/SATA enclosure

Used to clone a new SSD from my laptop hard drive. I only needed something to use once, so I settled on the cheapest USB 3.0 device I could find. This case got the job done with no issues. It's probably not as strong (physically) as other cases, but for light stationary use it does the job. I won't be moving or traveling with it, so the thickness of the plastic case doesn't matter to me. Considering that this case with an interface and cable costs a lot less than just an interface and cableโ€ฆ

So slow. suitable for hard disk housing

These housings do not support throughputs over 40 MB/s. (Yes I know what I'm doing, yes I know what I'm talking about) Two identical devices, both are recognized with different UIDs and work (albeit automatically) with different drivers. They work. only at roughly reasonable USB 2.0 speeds (with R/W caching plus buffer management). Although they were pretty cheap I am sending them back. I wanted USB 3.0 speeds to be at least half as fast as my oldest USB 3.0 enclosure, which is pretty bad.

Nothing Good Computers and Accessories

I have a 2.5 inch hard drive that I use with a USB to SATA cable from time to time and it works great except that it doesn't pre Protects against dust and I wanted something I had Buy 3 of these cases for a limited time and I've tried 2 of them both had the same issue. I plugged it in, plugged it in, the blue light comes on, everything seems fine, but reading the disk takes forever. Actually when reading the disk it freezes and my whole computer so I can't do anything. I was able to pull upโ€ฆ
