Good drive for the price!

Economical drive. My girlfriend's new computer, like most new computers, wasn't there. This disc worked great for installing some old software (on the disc) that needed it.

Great solution to today's problems

Plug and Play. The perfect solution to today's problems. Most modern laptops don't have a disc reader and this is a great solution. Connect via USB and you're done. You may need to update/download VLC media player if you're trying to watch movies but otherwise have no problems. It even comes with a handy carry case. Very happy with this purchase.

Works well but may require additional software

. So this does not work with Windows 10. You need to download an audio program. This is pretty easy if you don't have the DVD with the additional content. Then you need to make sure you have software that works, and I found this to be more of a problem, but not an insurmountable one. In general everything is good and working. Only a few extra steps may be required.

Since my new Windows 10 laptop doesn't have a CD-DVD drive, I use this device to transfer files from another computer to a new one. Also, I had old files on CDs that I wanted to move. After reading other reviews, I previously downloaded VLC media player. When connecting a Haiway device, I initially had problems with my new computer recognizing the external drive. I went into the devices, I don't remember the exact path and saw that Windows 10 needed to download additional drivers for the Haiway

Great item in Computers & Accessories

This is a very good product, it comes with a nice zip case and an extra zip pocket for an extra USB cable or flash drive. It is connected to a single USB cable that plugs into slots on the bottom of the drive. The USB cable has two ends: a USB 3.0 type C connector and a type A connector. Very compact and high quality product.
