Very useful for computers without a DVD drive

I have a Surface Notebook without a CD drive. I have a lot of work in CD format which makes it difficult for me to work from home. Finally I gave up and decided to buy a drive for my computer. I thought it would be expensive but this one was reasonably priced and when I tried it it works amazing. I'm so glad I was able to choose this one. If you need a handy CD drive, this is it!

Not compatible with USB 3.0 for CD and DVD drives

Although the description says it comes with a USB-C to USB 3.0 adapter, it is a USB 2.0 device. In addition, the cable is permanently connected to the device and cannot be detached. At the same time, it started and was immediately recognized by the OS (Win 10). However, I was expecting a USB 3.0 device (based on the description) and its USB 2.0.

Mac does not recognize DVD burner.

Playback is normal but not lit. My Mac (Late 2013 iMac) says it's an error. I won't waste time trying to get it working. POSTED

Can't Eject - Computers and Accessories

The eject touch function never worked to begin with, but I was fine with it. Now that the 30 day return window has passed it won't eject at all and sometimes makes an awful noise that worries me because it's messing up my CD. I'm afraid to put in another disc so I can no longer use it. I've only used it a few times and I've never dropped it.

Nice Drive - Computers and Accessories

The drive is fine, a bit noisy. I've never had a problem writing or reading a disc, it just sounds bad. It comes with a USB-C adapter that works great.

Looks great - non-removable

I love the look of this external drive - it goes great with my MacBook. It seems to read audio CDs well, I haven't tested its other features. When I get an eject command, my drive makes a noise like it's ejecting the CD, but it never does. Team. I am disappointed in this purchase and will be returning the disc that was sent to me.

Used a few times ate my CD

knew it was going to be a cheap CD but decided to give it a try anyway. Always made some weird noises but worked for a while. Just copied a new CD with no problems, wanted to put in another brand new CD and it took it but kept spinning and trying to read it. I restarted my computer hoping this would help and it kept trying to read the restart as power was still going to it. Disconnected and reconnected the same.
