I thought the metal apple slicer would last longer than the plastic I replaced; I was wrong. This one broke after 2 months compared to the plastic which lasted about 5 years before giving up.

I used it sporadically for a few months and it just broke and cut both my husband's hands. I think it's dangerous especially when kids are going to use it. Was effective at slicing apples until they broke without warning.

This food slicer does its job perfectly. Peel the apples from the core and cut into slices. It's all metal. And 12 slices make it easy to eat apples or slice them like peanut butter. With 12 slices you can also cut apples into apple pie-sized pieces. Saves cooking time.

This apple cutter was destroyed after three apples. The central cutting blades are separated from the outer edge. The next piece of apple should be a block with no connections. There is nothing better than a well-cut apple. This product was a disappointment. Now I will look for a monolithic block of German production.

so far so good i actually used it on an apple. Like all slicers, it does not touch the bottom of the apple. Great weight and feel. Arrived well packaged and in a sturdy box. The kit included instructions for use and a citrus peeler. If you've studied meteorology, you know that acids and metals don't mix. Rinse it out when you're done and it will last a long time.

I have had several slicers over the years and so far this seems to be the best. Right out of the box you'll find that it's surprisingly heavy. The weight helps to cut pears and apples easily. It also has fairly sharp blades. Given that it comes with an orange peeler (which I haven't tried yet), this food slicer is a no-brainer.

I liked it a lot at first and thought it was well made, but after 6 months of sporadic use it broke when I was trying to slice an apple. I cut both hands in the process as the entire center circle of the blades ripped out of the frame and the metal edges cut my hands. The outer ring appears sturdy, but the blades are not securely attached, leading to breakage and injury. I wish it was durable and safe.

I liked this apple corer/slicer. I ordered it a few months ago and it was rarely used. I used it the other day and the whole center ("blades") fell completely out of the tool... IN THE CENTER OF THE APPLE. 😩😔 So far I haven't had any problems and am very disappointed. I'd like a replacement because it's really good: it's big, heavy and usually works really well. I don't know why it broke as it appeared to be completely intact.

When it arrived in the box I thought it was my tractor's harmonic balancer it's so heavy. I was surprised when I opened the box and found Death's Apple Guillotine inside.
