Still working after 8 months

Although some reviews say this pump has a short lifespan, the one I have has run several hundred hours with no problems. My only complaint is that the claimed 28 foot load capacity is questionable.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Good but not great

Pumped three times and gave up.

pumped up like 3 times when i quit. He hums, but that's all. I pulled it out again and rinsed it out thinking maybe there was some kind of mud in there. Some sand on the backwash Poured in a bucket of water, turned it on, still buzzing. So I sent it back.

Nice little pump. - Water pumps, parts and accessories

Installs in a 14 inch basement sump with check valve. Works as it should. It looks like a good little pump - drains the sump quickly and the check valve prevents backflow and gurgling. I adjusted the float so it doesn't touch the walls of the pan. We'll see if it lasts, but so far so good.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Only used once but works well.

Used once for a 400 gallon spa water change. It worked well and will use it once every 4 months and update you when it stops working. It has a certain weight which I like, from the outside it looks like brittle metal, very thin and I'm afraid it will rust but they say it's stainless steel.

Pros
  • Very Impressive
Cons
  • Negative

Spend some time tightening it up

Seems to be a decent pump... But all the screws and bolts on it are loose right out of the box... Seems like it will wear out pretty quickly fall apart. Too bad they couldn't spend a few more seconds at the factory tightening it up. I bought several of these for work because of the price... And each of them had loose nuts and bolts. I intend to abuse them, so we'll see how they hold up.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Requires socket

Ideal for quickly emptying 200 to 400 gallon water tanks

I have bought 2 of these units to pump water after bringing water to the cabin and in 300 and 200 gallon to access water tanks and empty them quickly. I emptied the tanks with a garden hose transfer pump, which took a very long time. This pump will empty a 200 gallon tank in 5 minutes and a 300 gallon tank in 8 minutes. They fit easily into the opening of the tank and the water inlets are low enough to pump out almost all of the water.

Pros
  • Builds confidence
Cons
  • Some cons

Pump sags quickly with rough installation

Original review: Good, reliable pump. I let it run 14 hours a day - every day. Update: It's not the best pump after all. Bought and installed in February. The guarantee ended in March. May is in the yard, the pump is stuck. When I pulled it out of the water it was pretty clean. When it worked I liked the flow. However, 3 months of use? Poorly. This pump has a 1" outlet. The maximum output per inch is 2200 gallons per hour. If this pump is really rated at 3,000 gallons per hour, it will never be

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some issues

We have a good sized hot tub and this guy drained it completely in less than 15 minutes. swimming pool do you know how long it takes to drain them? I wouldn't advise using regular hose although we bought a pool drain hose and he just pumped it out like crazy. I'm afraid it will be too strong for a regular garden hose but we haven't tried it so I'm not sure. If you are looking for a good pump to drain anything that has a lot of water in it this guy is amazing and the price is wow. I'm shocked…
