Excellent product, double check the hardware

This is a slide product. A word: a word of caution: the included bolt hardware will not go through 2x4s etc. When repacking, my trailer didn't realize the hardware was too short. I had to run to Home Depot. never mind The product works as advertised.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Empty

Extreme Max's customer service department is excellent! one of .

Extreme Max Customer service is excellent! When unpacking the chock system, one of the mounting plates tore. Called about problem. Customer service requested a photo of the part and after verification promptly sent a replacement. It took me a call, photo and text to resolve the issue!

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Good but not great

Lightweight wheel chock

I would not recommend this wheel chock and bracket for a bike that weighs over a few hundred pounds. The hose is very thin. The pins are small and only welded on one side. The mounting and support plates are made of very thin aluminum. And the mounting screws are too small. Not what I would recommend for attaching a motorcycle to a trailer.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Excellent customer service.

This product was shipped with poor chrome plating. I called support, sent pictures and they sent me another full install very quickly. They didn't want to return the bad chrome, which made me happy. The only gripe I have is that the screws were long enough to only be used in a plywood floor and not long enough to go through my utility trailer's 2 x 6 floorboards.

Pros
  • Everything OK!
Cons
  • Does not work

Fantastic wedge at a great price

I installed this in my 1500 mile trailer. Installation wasn't too difficult and would have been even easier if I had the right size front screws. All necessary parts were there. I have a 900 lb HD bike and could not find a suitable rear mount wheel chock that clears the back of the front fender. This pad is solid and went all-wheel drive without any problems. All items were well packed, nothing was missing. I would use this plug again.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Minor issues

Motorcycle Wedge

The block itself was fine. It feels sturdy and wide enough to fit on my bike's front wheel. My complaint is that the hardware used to attach this gasket to the trailer is not long enough to fit through the pressure treated wood on the trailer floor. The hardware is at least an inch shorter to fit through a 2" x 8" board. All of the screws need to be at least 1 inch longer to work and they were useless for what I have. I had to go to the hardware store to get what I needed for the job. Otherwise

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not everything fits

hardware problems! for tools and equipment

8 pan head screws for 2 pad holders are too short. You will need to be 1/2" longer to bolt the brackets to the standard 1 1/2" board used for flooring on most trailers. I received 2 different length 3/8-16 bolts with wing nuts. These are the ones used to secure the shoe after it is inserted into the mounts. The 1 I received is not long enough and does not come with a threaded insert. I took a 1/4-20 drill bit and opened up the holes on 2 brackets and bottom base plates. I bought my own longerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Have fun
Cons
  • Upgrades
