Description of 🚿 Chrome Self-Closing Shower Valve by EZ-FLO 10789

The EZ-FLO self-closing shower valve is heavy-duty, built to operate in multiple-user conditions for indoor or outdoor showers. Manufactured with durable brass for a long lifespan, coated with a chrome-plated finish that resists corrosion and everyday use. The stainless steel chain has a pull mechanism that allows the flow of water to run when the chain is pulled and stops the flow upon chain release. Can be installed in shower head pipes with a 1/2-inch FIP connection. The valve measures 2. 5-inches deep x 2. 5-inches wide x 8. 75-inches long (including chain).

Ideal for outdoor showers.

I installed these for a customer who had an outdoor shower. Easy to install, works great. Note for Installers: If there is any water leakage after installation, simply remove the decorative plug screw on the side and tighten the nut slightly and the leakage will be stopped.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons

Durable but will rust in 2 years after outdoor installation

The design looks solid. Works well. But after only 2 years the internal parts were rusting and it no longer auto-closed as easily. However, I bought another one and added lots of plumbing grease to the moving joints and teflon tape to the threads. Maybe I can extend it for another year.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

Works well/reliable design

Bought this based on other reviews and it's a solid water saver. Easy to install and works like a charm. My only complaint would be that most showerheads come out of the wall at an angle and this results in the valve handle being pulled at a smaller angle than you would like. Still works fine but wish it was adjustable.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Great for the stage.

Purchased as a set. The shower had to be practical and the actress had to wash her hair on stage. We used it in a gravity powered shower and when we pulled the chain the water came out. The handle has quite a bit of resistance and we had to fasten the linkage before and after the mechanism to keep the entire pen assembly from tipping forward and bending. But otherwise it was a great purchase.

  • Certified
Cons

Just what I needed for an outdoor shower.

I bought this to use in the outdoor shower after a swim. Works great and has a positive seal. It works well in vertical or horizontal position. Very heavy brass construction, looks very high quality. Has smooth operation and doesn't require a very heavy hand to operate, my 3 year old can do it with no problem. The chain is a bit short but I bought "good 110 vibrations to operate a full grip lawn mower replacement handle" to use with the valve and I say it was a good deal at $5.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Safety

Effectively reduces teenage shower costs

bought these for my teens who took a 30 minute shower with all the water costing me a fortune in water and electricity bills. I've actually seen both invoices shrink since they were installed. Don't forget to bring the 3/4 inch male to male extension you will need to get out of the wall. Also, don't try to install it between a shower head and a regular pipe, you will almost certainly need it. Large torque and angle are also inefficient (since a standard shower pipe exits horizontally and then…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Good but not great

Good urinal valve for home use

Works well as a urinal valve for home use. No 3/4" inlet pipe required. Not sure if it's sufficiently supported for commercial use. Buy a urinal thread adapter to reduce it to 1/2" and a short 1/2" "-Nipple and a flexible supply line. I used this adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00835W80E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00 ?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Order matters, fitting first slip the valve on, then onto the threaded pipe, then carefully and deftly tighten the nut on the fitting that pushes the…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Useless features

Spring Loaded Pull/Shower Valve

This works for what we need (auto shut off for outdoor showers). Liked: Good, solid construction. Disliked: the chain that comes with the kit. We had one like this before and it was filled with concrete during construction so we replaced it with the same model. Some issues we had were: It was used outdoors and needed lubricating after a while: It gets stuck in the on position (actually a plus so the chain doesn't have to be held the whole time and then pushed back with a stick have to fix it…

  • Easy to Use
Cons
