DO NOT BUY THIS. THEY ARE DANGEROUS! The fan hub power connector shorted out, causing my computer to catch fire. Terrible smoke smell and a lot of damage in my computer. Too bad the quality control is terrible because the fans look great and are quiet. But to be honest I will NEVER buy cheap Chinese fans again after this experience.

I bought a Rosewill Prism case with standard RGB fans. My motherboard didn't have the same fan header, didn't have 5V RGB, so they buzzed at full speed all the time. They rumbled and even wobbled once, scaring me to death when I put the computer to sleep. I had two choices. Buy another set of RGB fans with a non-RGB 4-pin PWM controller that my MSI Z97 G45 gaming motherboard supports. I decided to put them on and so far I'm happy. I appreciate the power of SATA, I appreciate that it can sync to the motherboard but it's quite annoying having the remote still nearby to have to control the fan speed. The fans use some sort of freeform/PWM combo cable and if I really wanted to fix that I could probably split the wires and feed them a PWM signal from the motherboard, but I probably won't. Yes, I understand that having 12 sets of cables can be annoying (6 fans with 2 cables for RGB and PWM), but I would have liked an option…

These are great fans. Many lighting options. Sometimes there are problems with remote registration in Management Hub, but that's not a problem. The fans can get loud when turned all the way down, but you can't hear them at all in the headphones. If your computer is under your desk or at least a little further away, you will hardly hear it at maximum speed and you can turn it off at any time. Overall great fans, just a few kinks.
