Gorgeous colors! Art Supplies

Yes, these are real FC pencils and they are buttery smooth. I just searched for everyone. Nice set. Just look how they work!

The best of the best! on paint products

The coolest watercolor pencils ever! Draw beautifully and get creamy when you add water! You can control the color perfectly! I've tried all kinds of pens! Caran Dache, Prisma Color, Derwent Inktense and Fabercastell! Faber Castell is the best of the best! Packaging and how it works! You will love them!

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Has problems

Writes like pencil oil

Nice product; The colors are fantastic and full of pigment. It's like painting with oil. I've used Prisma Premier before and really liked it; but they kept breaking and I had to sharpen them throughout the project so they wore out quickly. They hold a fine tip and last a long time. I was concerned that the "lead" would be hard on them and was pleasantly surprised at how soft they went down. Worth every penny.

Expensive but very good set.

Great watercolor pencils! What is missing is a handy template to identify and test the pencil. I made a template like this and can see exactly how each color looks when water is applied to it. It would also be a good idea to label each pen with a serial number (1, 2, etc.) to keep the storage box organized and to avoid misaligned colors. The price is much higher than I expected but the quality is very good.

It's not what I was hoping for

I bought two different sets of pencils, one with 48 colors and the other with 120 colors. However, two different packages from the same company use a different color code. My art classes adhere to the 48 color code. I'm very disappointed with the 120 color set because it didn't ease my effort to match the color we were told during the tutorial. My art class offered to buy 72 colors but 48 colors was the best I could get. So I figured if I could get 120 colors from the same company, that mightโ€ฆ

Midnight Store is a problem, not a product.

This is not a negative review of Albrecht Dรผrer's Faber-Castell watercolors, but of The Midnight Store company that sold them to me. When I received them they were stuck together as if left and neglected in a very hot environment. They had obviously been used and returned, the kegs were all scratched and there was excess product dust on the top of the lid, not to mention it was all over the outside of the case when I first opened it. I called Revain and they offered a replacement, unfortunately

Pros
  • Arts and Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Best Watercolor Pencils for Artists

I personally think these are the best watercolor pencils you could ever use. The pigments are rich and vibrant, much more so compared to a brand like Arteza. They mix easily with water. The color scheme is perfect - I can find the exact color I'm looking for. The metal tin is convenient and easy to store, and the 3 pen trays are easy to pull out from the side cords. If you run out of a color, you can order individual special order pens to refill exactly what you need. Although these watercolorโ€ฆ
