Pencils don't dull to a good (or even decent) point. It seemed to work with non-FC pencils for the first week, but never worked well with FC pencils. I've had a very bad relationship with pencil sharpeners, especially Prismacolor Premier colored pencils. I went over almost the entire pencil multiple times before I could get a point without breaking it. I know Prismacolor has a bad reputation in this regard but sharpening an almost full pencil was starting to irritate me a lot - so I tried different pencil sharpeners and although Prismacolor has a bad reputation the sharpener really seems to make the difference make .
