🎨 Fabriano Studio Watercolor Pad, 11 x 14, Cold Press, White - Enhanced for SEO Review

I've heard about this paper from various illustrators, so I decided to give it a try. And now it's one of my favorites! Watercolor streaks look brighter on this bright white paper. The texture is also excellent, I'm not even talking about a good price.

Generally buy and draw on 140 pound 10% cotton Arches paper. Tried it and was very disappointed. Completed a painting based on Stephen Cronin's Hake brush tutorial. It looks horrible. I tried doing a wet on wet sky but the rough texture makes the sky look mottled. This is going to be an outlier! Come back to the bows for me!

Tried different types of paper to see what worked best for me and my drawing style. I tend to paint rather wet and will rework to get the texture I want. While I love the size and texture of this paper, it seems to roll off the page with the slightest touch-up or color removal. Even though it's a paper that says 'studio', I figured that with at least 25% cotton it would be a little more durable than other regular pulp paper. But I find that it is equal or weaker than the work of these students.
