Not easy to 'tune', good for antennas

Had to disassemble connector S0239 and solder coax wires directly to the wires to 'tune'. The connector seems to be too short for the PL259 and the SWR was scattered everywhere.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • update available

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not easy to set up.

Hmm. I can't seem to get this to work in any orientation, position, angle, setting or whatever. The lowest SWR I could squeeze out was 4. I didn't continue to avoid burning my radio.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Save your money on wireless antennas

Connector is too short for any coax, can't tighten, SWR gets out of control. The old model they were selling was the same. Would you think of something so simple?

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Clarity

The cable connector on it is too short

Looks pretty good, but I had the problem that the PL-259 cable was too short for most cables to fit properly, resulting in intermittent and high SWR. Since there is so little coax available for this antenna, I would look elsewhere.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • The list is long.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Inexpensive, easy to install, good performance.

This is a very nice, easy to install, easy to hide CB antenna. I have yet to turn it up a notch to improve its performance, but as low as it is now I can still have some distant conversations in the evenings.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Love it! Works great

Love it! Works perfectly! I currently use it in an inverted V configuration in my backyard at ground level and talk up to 50 miles away every night! Also use it in the same area as the horizontal dipole for a jump kick. In my opinion the ideal CB antenna.

Pros
  • Weatherproof interior and exterior design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

This is a very nice easy to install and easy to hide CB antenna. I have yet to turn it up a notch to improve its performance, but as low as it is now I can still have some distant conversations in the evenings.

Pros
  • Latest version Now the max power is 2400W
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

Inexpensive Base Antenna

This is a well made dipole antenna. However, getting the SWR to an acceptable level will require some experimentation. The higher you can mount it outside or in your house, the easier it will be to set up. Mine is currently in the garage. This was difficult as the steel frame of the garage door reflects most of the RF. However, I eventually found that the "L" configuration on the ceiling gave an SWR of 2.0. Not great, but I can talk to local CB maniacs within a 3-5 mile radius of my house…

Pros
  • Used for AM, FM, USB, LSB, Radio.
Cons
  • Some bugs
