Despite the plastic, it's pretty durable. The stabilization is excellent. It may not be a gimbal, but the video is still smooth and a lot cheaper. You can still see a little up and down movement when you hold it and walk, but it's not wobbly. I mainly use it with my smartphone and the smartphone shutter is strong.
