I enjoyed putting these together. It has very small parts and care must be taken as parts bent too much can break. Some instructions are not very clear like the pictures.

These models are not normally painted, so there is no color mismatch. There were two metal "leaves" in this particular set, but they weren't "all" white. One was a lighter white (not completely white) and the other a darker white, as if the paint had started to dry on the assembly line. Check for color match before assembly!

Having collected many of them, I am always happy when new ones come out. It was easier, so if you're a beginner I recommend starting with that. Follow the directions, be patient, and I recommend two tweezers, fine-tipped wire cutters, and maybe even a lighted magnifying glass. Love these models! No need to wait for the glue to dry, just bend or twist the tabs and move on to the next step. The height of the model is only about 4 inches.

As others have written, I must have received a defective item as well. I wish they hadn't tried painting the parts because it came out really bad. As you can see, this kit is grayer compared to the white manual that came with it. Also, some parts are darker gray and others are lighter. The variation made it impossible to match so I had to send it back.
