USB cables don't last forever and as I currently work in the car I plug and unplug my phone over 20 times a day to charge Android Auto for Traveling to use in various locations my former 1ft USB charging cable wore out after a few weeks of use. Why has Android Auto lost contact with my phone for two days? Hopefully it's a cable and not my machine's USB input. Success! I don't know how long they will last but I bought three and have a spare in the car just in case.

I don't know how to put it but when my wife tried to use this cable on her Samsung S8+, the USB did -C-cable it didn't make a clean connection - the charging aspect kept resetting. When I connected it to my S8+ it connected cleanly. I compared the ends of the USB-C to other cables we have and they are slightly shorter. I tried all three cables on their phone with the same result. I'm leaving them because they seem to work on all of our other USB-C devices.

Purchased 16 April 2021. It no longer works today 14 September 2021. It still charges the device but cannot transfer data. The cable is not physically broken or worn out. Optically in perfect condition, but does not transfer data. I tested it with different phones and different devices to rule out other variables. It's definitely a bad cable.

The cables look good but I've only had them a few days so can't comment on how long they last in the long run. The only thing I would like for "my personal” application is more flexibility. These cables are quite stiff and I use them to connect my phone to the Android Auto jack in the new 21 Ridgeline's console. A large phone (Galaxy S21 Ultra) in a small console room.

These extensions work great in both my Moto G7 and Samsung 9 devices so it's fantastic. However, there is one element that makes the cords excellent. The problem is that the cables are not very flexible. Considering you are using a 1ft cable it would be nice if it had less resistance to bending so the phone could more easily rest on the center console in the car. My rating is therefore 4 stars. also a good option.
