Easy to use and easy to clean

The color was exactly what I was looking for. I like that I can control the opacity with the amount of water I add. Looks great, brightened up and updated the wall. I would recommend it. My wall is an inner wall, so I can't talk about outer strength.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Out of style

Excellent color suitable for painting, wall finishing and accessories

Love this color I use this color on colonial furniture that I make. This is a tough paint that will take a lot of time. It's easy to apply and has a lightly striped look that I really like. You will need a few layers and I will finish it off with a very thin layer of satin polyester to protect it from water stains. Found in many colors of the early American type. The corner cabinet in the photo is my (milky painted) piece, not the chair.

Pros
  • Fairly impressive
Cons
  • Damaged

Wish I could go back

I bought a cocktail table that was too dark. Based on the positive feedback from social media bloggers about the milking couple, I figured milk pains might be my solution. Unfortunately, after wiping and sanding my part, this product just peeled off. You need to mix small portions as it deteriorates quickly. I found it difficult to mix, foamy and difficult to coat. If you buy make sure you buy it with adhesive products, I won't spend more money to make it work. Back to my Annie Sloan chalk…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Expensive

This is not sold outright

If you want a weather resistant finish you MUST use their 'Exterior Additive' and it took many coats to cover the darker areas of the wood. The product becomes very foamy (perhaps from the additive?) and then the pigment settles back to the bottom of the container, requiring vigorous stirring, which creates more foam. The color corresponds to the declared. I only bought this brand because I use it in my hive and I want a more natural product that doesn't harm my little furry friends.

Pros
  • Permanent finish
Cons
  • Some bugs

great looking finish and water based cleaner

I worked with milk colors many years ago and was amazed by the results. This product met my expectations, although I don't remember milk paint ever being that expensive. It's worth reading the instructions on YouTube before working with this, although it really comes down to making a 50/50 mix of water and paint and using a good brush. I recommend using a Danish finish oil to protect against future soiling on furniture projects. The combination of great optics and water-based cleaning is a plus

Cons

Mix, mix, mix and still clump

I loved the idea of a non-toxic, low VOC paint for my asthmatic daughter's furniture. The first thing I read after reading the instructions on the back was that skin contact can cause burns. So we put on gloves and started mixing and mixing and mixing, but we couldn't mix all the paint. We even stirred occasionally while painting, hoping it would all dissolve, but that never happened. Instead, after applying almost 4 coats of paint to the furniture, we had to pour the last coat down the drain…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Compatibility

Works great when used correctly

If you want something that looks like latex paint and applies, don't buy milk paint. If you want your work to look the same as it does on Pinterest, do yourself a favor and spend 10 minutes reading how to apply and how not to apply milk paint. Spoiler alert: if you don't follow directions, plan ahead, be patient, be careful. If you look at the details and do a little research, you'll be disappointed with the results, including the inevitable chipping (which many of us actually buy it for). )…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
